Annie Mertice Croft age 95, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Thursday morning, January 13, 2011 at Suwannee Health Care in Live Oak, FL following a lengthy illness. The native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL was a homemaker and before she became ill she loved to fish, enjoyed gardening, traveling, loved Elvis Presley and was one of the last to see him perform on his final tour. She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church of Live Oak.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Oliver & Annie Pearl Smith, her husband, George Washington Croft and a son, Connie C. Croft.
Survivors include one son, G.W. (Bonnie) Croft, Live Oak, FL; four daughters, Bonnie Jane (L.J.) Mobley, McAlpin, FL; Mary Pearl Rankin, Live Oak, FL; Ann (Wayne) Gude, Live Oak, FL; Linda Walther, Live Oak, FL; twenty-two grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held, Saturday Jan. 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the First Advent Christian Church with Rev. Pomeroy Carter officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
