Anthony Cannone Jr., age 66, of Lake City, Florida, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida.

He was born in Illinois, moving to Lake City in 2018 from California. Anthony was a retired automotive technician but had worked at a little of everything -- from residential construction to Nasa rockets. Mr. Cannone was a US Army veteran.

Mr. Cannone became a born-again Christian in the 1970s and devoted his life to serving the Lord, home-schooling his children, and loving his neighbors as himself. The last several years of his life were dedicated to abolishing the practice of abortion, which he referred to as “modern-day child sacrifice.”

Mr. Cannone is survived by his wife, Bonnie Coffey Cannone, of Lake City, Florida; one son, Jeremiah Cannone of Hawaii, one daughter, Nicole Cannone of California, sister Josie Walters of Utah, sister Marie Done of California, and one grandchild.

Private services were conducted in Live Oak with burial in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Thursday, April 9, 2020.
