Avery Daniel Davis

Avery Daniel Davis, age 92, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away, Wednesday evening, August 26, 2026, at his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Sanderson, Florida moving to Live Oak in 1969 from Lake City, Florida.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.  He worked as an electrician for many years and was a member of the Tiger Lake Baptist Church.  Avery loved playing golf, bowling, fishing and hunting.  He could often be found in his tomatoe garden, watering his flowers or riding around his yard on the lawnmower.  His most favorite thing to do was to sit on his front porch, in his favorite rocking chair.  If he was rocking a grandbaby, it was even better.  He was a family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara Davis; three sons, Mark (Lori) Davis; Bo (Alicia) Davis; Scott (Kandace) Davis; one daughter, Lori Rogers, all of Live Oak, Florida; three sisters, Evelene Lyons, Macclenny, FL; Fairylee Davis, Sanderson, FL and Carlis Harvin, Lake Butler, FL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Memorial services were held Monday, August 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Tiger Lake Baptist Church with Mr. Clark Raby officiating.  Dinner followed in the fellowship hall.

Visitation was held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.
