Bertha Gail Pazel

Bertha Gail Pazel, age 71, of Dowling Park, FL, peacefully returned home to her heavenly father, Saturday, November 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Gail, as she was known, was born on July 17, 1954 in Kinnelon, New Jersey. She graduated from Kinnelon High School in 1972 and completed her Associate of Applied Science degree from the County College of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey in 1992. Gail was married to Thomas James Pazel from 1981 to 1990, and they had one child together, son John. In 1991, she moved to Melbourne, Florida where she lived until she relocated to north Florida in 2025.

Gail was passionate about all manners of handmade crafting, especially the arts of sewing and knitting. Her gentle and good-natured personality endeared her to many of those she connected with. Gail loved to laugh and kept a good sense of humor even in the most difficult time. She was devoutly religious and loved her Lord and personal savior, Jesus Christ. Among all, Gail’s greatest love was being a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.

She is predeceased by her father, Harvey Drewry Woods, Jr., her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Woods, (Johnson, and her brother, Harvey Drewry Woods, III. She is survived by her son, John Michael Pazel (Emily), and granddaughter, Jocelyn Marie Pazel (nicknamed “Little Bit” by her Grandma Gail).

Memorial services will be held, 10:00 am, Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Carver officiating.
