Betty Severance Crosby, age 69, of Live Oak, FL passed away Tuesday evening, November 6, 2018 at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL. She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak where she worked as the Member Services Representative for Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative for twenty-seven years. Her beautiful smile would light up the room especially when family members were present. She was a very good cook and loved baking for others at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved swimming and just being around the water. Betty enjoyed buying for others and was known for her selfless act of surprising friends and family with gifts. She was Advent Christian by faith
She was predeceased by her parents, Hubert & Florence Severance, her husband, Gene Crosby, one sister, Gail Driggers, four brothers, Jack Dees, Buddy Dees, Johnnie Severance and Freddie Severance.
She is survived by two brothers, Nick (Cynthia) Dees, Warner Robins, GA and Donald (Sherry) Severance, Ashville, NC; three sisters, Maryann (Pat) Sura, Live Oak; Norma (Jim) Phillips, Palm Harbor, FL and Sheryl (Cliff) Hunter, Live Oak.
Graveside services were held, 11:00 AM, Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Louis Medaris officiating.
