Betty Eileen Martin

Betty Eileen Martin, 83, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at Lafayette Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She leaves behind a family that loves her dearly.

Two daughters, Bobbie Jean Hatton (Rod), and Betty Jo "BJ" Johnson (Mike).

Grandchildren, Christina Batson (Josh), Cody Johnson, and Olivia Johnson. Five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She is survived by three brothers and two sisters: James Rudolph Porter, Kenny Porter (Annette), John Porter (Shirley), Lavonne Tharpe (Joe) and Ludie Porter. And many neices and nephews and her beloved best friend, Peggy Heath.

She is preceded in death by her mother Tommy Theo Porter, and father, James Porter, her son, Charlie Randy Goodwill (Ruth), brother, Arthur Burle Porter, and sister, Darlene Porter Bland.

She loved to paint, draw and dance, she loved all dogs and animals, hummingbirds, and butterflies. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. The world will be a little dimmer without her in it.
