Betty Young Pollard

Betty Young Pollard, age 76, of Live Oak, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her home. She was born in Prince Georges, MD moving to Live Oak thirty-five years ago from Maryland. Betty was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and making floral arrangements and was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by her husbands William E. Young and Danny Pollard, daughter Betty Jo Whisnant, son David Pollard and grandson Brandan Wood. She is survived by three sons, Joe (Loretta) Lucas, Lake City, FL; Randy (Sandy) Lucas, Live Oak, FL; Pete Lucas, and James Robert Pollard both of Lake City; two daughters, Sandra (Warren) Wood, Sarah (Rickey) Jolley and Mary Anne Pollard all of Live Oak and Amy Marie (Taz) Bainbride, of Idaho; two sisters, Shirley (John) Orberg, Macclenny, FL; Margaret (Teddy) Johnson, McAlpin; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Visitation was held, Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor John W. Orberg, II and Pastor Warren D. Wood officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
