Bill Thrasher

Billy Huse Thrasher, age 86, of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, FL following a brief illness. He was born in Decatur, Alabama, moving to Live Oak, FL in 2001 from Longview, Texas.   He worked as a mechanical engineer with the Harris Corp and taught at Florida Tech and Letourneau, Longview, TX.  He was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church where he enjoyed the church activities and was also an inactive Gideon. Bill loved photography, working in his yard, spending time with his family, working on clocks and was known as "The old, Clock Doctor” by his friends and family. He also enjoyed searching, Find a Grave.com on the web.

He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Thrasher, Live Oak, FL; one son, Bryan (Lauren) Thrasher, Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Melanie (Trish) Thrasher, Marietta, GA and one granddaughter, Amanda Thrasher.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 8, 2025, in the Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Bush officiating.
