Billy Brannan, age 89, of Live Oak, FL, passed away late Friday evening, April 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at the Suwannee Health Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.  He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL working for the Department of Agriculture as an inspector.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Westwood Baptist Church.  Billy loved working crossword puzzles and fishing, but his most treasured moments was his time spent with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Drew and Lula Brannan, his first wife, Evelyn Brannan, four brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Brannan, McAlpin, FL; one daughter, Glenda (Wesley) Williams, Live Oak, FL; one son, Steve (Joy) Brannan, Live Oak, FL; one sister, Evelyn Langston, Wren, GA; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held, Tuesday, April 20 th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held, 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Humphries, Dr. Jimmy Deas and Dr. Ben Bush officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
