Robert “Bob” Bush, age 65, of Live Oak, FL passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a native of Washington, DC moving to Live Oak thirty-four years ago from Jacksonville, FL. He was a self employed Long Term Care Consultant. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Ensign. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and above all else loved being with his grandchildren. Bob was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and very involved in church activities. He was leader of the youth group, involved in the men’s group, active in Cursillo, and was an ESL Instructor. He is predeceased by a son, Graham Bush. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Bush, Live Oak; three sons, Bo & Kimmy Bush, Lake City, FL; Bill & Carmen Bush, Williston, FL; James & Ann Bush, Petersburg, VA; one brother, Bill Bush, Dumfries, VA; one sister, Kay Bryant, Lewes, DE; eight grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday, June 19th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Friday, June 20, 2014 in the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Father Donald Woodrum and Father George Hinchliffe officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1238, Live Oak, FL 32064.
