Carrie V. Root August 9, 1934 * April 27, 2012 Carrie V. Root, age 77 of Live Oak, FL passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at her home following a brief illness. The Houston, Texas native moved to Live Oak, FL four months ago from Homosassa, FL. She was a school bus driver for Lapeer High School for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, playing BINGO, church activities, helping others and gardening. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Live Oak. She is survived by four sons, Roger Root, Texas; Donald Root, William Root, Calvin Root, III all of Homosassa, FL; two daughters, Melody Lepper , Kansas; Beth Glavey, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Albert Ballard, St. Petersburg, FL; Thirteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. As per her wishes finalization was by cremation.
