Cecil Edward Dunn, age79, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Thursday evening, September 6, 2018 at Suwannee Health Care Center in Live Oak following a lengthy illness. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama moving to Live Oak after graduating from college to pursue his teaching and coaching career at Suwannee High School. This career took him to Cross City, FL, Plains GA, Homerville, GA, Dove Creek, CO and finally back to Live Oak. He was a member of the Florida National Guard and loved football, traveling, farming and spending time with his family.
Cecil was predeceased by his parents, Lonza & Virginia Dunn, two brothers, Larry Dunn and Junior Dunn, a sister, Joyce Shaddix, a nephew, Shane Montgomery and a grandson, Dylan Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda McMullen Dunn, Live Oak; two sons, John Edward Dunn, Colorado and Michael Adam (Cherri) Dunn, Live Oak; three daughters, Brenda Shawn Valdez, Live Oak; Lesley Michelle (Al) Foster, Beaumont, Texas and April Joy (Ryan) Maley both of Cortez, CO; three brothers, Danny (Sherry) Dunn and Mike (Sheila) Dunn both of Ohatchee, AL and Randy (Diane) Dunn, Pratt, AL; one sister, Donna Jo (Gary) Farley, Ohatchee, AL; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Live Oak Christian Church, 1015 North Ohio Avenue.
