Charles Mitchell Carrithers January 4, 1925 February 7, 2009 Charles Mitchell Carrithers “Uncle Charles”, 84, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at his home at the Spirit of the Suwannee in Live Oak, FL. The London, Kentucky native moved to Live Oak in 2002 from Virginia. He was a self-employed entrepreneur who spent most of his young life in North Carolina, and served in the Merchant Mariens during WWII. Survivors include his three sons, Ray Carrithers, New Smyrna, FL; Ronnie Carrithers, Newport News, VA and Mike Carrithers, Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Margaret White, Williamsburg, VA; Helen Kincaid, Lenoir, NC; Jean Cornett, Georgetown, Kentucky and Live Oak, FL; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial services were held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at the Spirit of the Suwannee with Johnny Dame officiating. As per his wishes, finalization was by cremation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 Hwy 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055.
