Chris Diaz

Chris Diaz, 17 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Friday, August 15, 2008, from injuries sustained in a diving accident on the Suwannee River in Live Oak, Florida. The Tampa, FL native had resided at the Florida Sheriff’s Boys Ranch since January 2004 moving there from Miami, FL. He was a senior at Suwannee High School, a member of the Riding Ranchers and enjoyed skate boarding, basketball and loved swimming. He was a Christian and member of the Boys Ranch Chapel. Survivors include his parents, Javier and Esther Diaz, Miami, FL; paternal grandmother, Migdalia Gonzalez and paternal grandfather, Juan Rodriguez of Miami, FL; two brothers, Juan Diaz, Largo, FL; Gabriel Diaz, Miami, FL; one sister, Johanna Diaz, Miami, FL, and his extended family at the Boys Ranch. Memorial services were held Sunday, August 24th in the Boys Ranch chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches, P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064.
