Claude Edmond Johnson, age 91, of Live Oak, FL passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home. He was a native of Polk County, FL moving to Live Oak in 1951 from Lee, FL. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. Claude owned and operated Johnson’s Furniture Store in downtown for over thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, cane grinding, farming, playing pool and poker. Most of all he loved dancing with his wife to a good country band. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Sarah Johnson, Live Oak; two daughters, Ann Kiser and Robbie Thompson both of Live Oak; one brother, Leo Johnson, Daytona Beach, FL; a nephew, Gene Clark, Lee, FL; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
