Cleo Smith Montgomery

Cleo Smith Montgomery September 22, 1911 * May 9, 2012 Cleo Smith Montgomery age 100 of Dowling Park, FL passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, FL. The Dupont, GA native moved to Dowling Park in 1982 from Augusta, GA. She graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in education and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She worked for many years for the Richmond County Board of Education as an Elementary teacher. Cleo was a member of the Bixler Advent Christian Church of Dowling Park where she sang in the church choir. She was very musical and played in the Rhythm Band at the Village including the piano and violin. She was also instrumental in naming Camp Suwannee and enjoyed helping with the activities there. In her spare time she loved gardening. She is survived by one daughter, Fleur Lynn Readdy, Augusta, GA; one sister, Ilynn Paskewich, Miami, FL; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Our Redeemed Lutheran Church in Augusta, GA with Rev. Roger Schwartz officiating.
