Clifford Tuten, age 89, of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Gainesville, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Madison, FL living most of his life in Live Oak. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during WWII as Gunner First Class. He just enjoyed life, fishing, hunting, camping and working in his vegetable garden and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Tuten, Live Oak; four sons, J.C. Tuten, Cross City, FL; Bill (Belinda) Tuten, Beverly Hills, FL; John Tuten, Sylvania, AL and Lee Tuten, Macclenny, FL; two daughters, Jeanie Vitt, Live Oak; Joan (James) Williams, Live Oak; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Herrington officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Madison, FL.
