Clyde "Buster" Clifton

Clyde “Buster” Clifton, Jr., age 84, of O’Brien, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. He was born in Deep Lake, FL, moving to O’Brien in 1999 from Everglades City, FL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired law enforcement officer. He was a mason, loved hunting, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Jean Clifton, O’Brien, FL; one son, James Clifton, Ocala, FL; one daughter, Robin Mitchell, O’Brien, FL; two sisters, Betty Jo Brown, Sampson, AL and Birdie Mae Potter, New Bern, NC; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

As per his wishes, finalization will be by cremation.
