Doris Moore

Doris Green Moore, age 94, of Live Oak, FL passed away Tuesday morning, December 20, 2022 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Lake City, FL, living most of her life in Live Oak where she worked as a commercial manager for Alltel Telephone Company.  She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. She was a member of the Anna Miller Circle and proudly served as a “Pink Lady” for the Suwannee County Hospital for many years.  She was a loving, mom and affectionately known as Nanny to those who loved and adored her. She found much pleasure in cooking for and spending time with family and loved ones.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Lanoe and Ruth Evans Green and her oldest son, Julian Carl Moore, Jr.; her seven siblings, Lois Batchelor, Lyman Green, Hillard Green, Irma Lee O'Neal, Jettie Ruth Green, Savena Baum and George Z. Green.

She is survived by her devoted children, Sherri (Don) Foreman, Lake City, FL; two sons, Robbie Moore and Rick Moore both of Live Oak, FL; her daughter-in-law, Anne Moore, Wellborn, FL and the father of their four children, Julian Carl Moore, Sr., Ft. White, FL; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services were held, Thursday evening, December 22, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Travis Buchanan officiating.
