Dorothy Fletcher Gardner April 27, 1919 March 9, 2010 Dorothy Fletcher Gardner, age 90, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL following complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Suwannee County, Florida, Dorothy lived most of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She was a homemaker and member of the Beaches Chapel in Jacksonville, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, Captain Donald P. Gardner. Survivors include one son, Carlton W. “Bill” Winter of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Rebecca Nitsch of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren. Graveside services were held, 2:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2010 in the McAlpin Advent Christian Cemetery with her son, Bill Winter officiating.
