Dorothy Marie Harrelson

Dorothy Marie Harrelson, age 90, of McAlpin, FL passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Lafayette Health Care Center in Mayo, FL. She was a native of Bangor, Maine moving to Live Oak in 1974 from Largo, FL. She worked as a secretary for the V.A. Hospital for many years and was an honorary member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved quilting, making doll houses, making jewelry, embroidering, needle point, horseback riding and had a superior love for animals. She also love researching genealogy. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie Harrelson and a son, Dave Harrelson. She is survived by four sons, William (Teresa) Harrelson, Baileyton, AL; Charlie “Chip” Harrelson, Gainesville, FL; John Harrelson, McAlpin, FL and Robert “Bob” Harrelson, McAlpin, FL; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held, Sunday, August 13th from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
