Doyle Morgan Carmichael, age 88, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Friday, May 18, 2019 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida. He was a native and lifelong resident of Live Oak, FL and was a member and deacon of Clayland Baptist Church. He was also a member of Barrett Masonic Lodge # 43, Past Master of Rocky Sink Lodge and District Deputy Grand Master in 1973. Doyle retired after thirty years with the State of Florida, and was well known as one of the best Radio Dispatchers and Chief Duty Officer for the Florida Highway Patrol. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Carmichael, Live Oak, FL; two sons, James (Denise) Carmichael, Lake City, FL and Keith (Terri) Carmichael, Wellborn, FL; one brother, Jerry Carmichael, Live Oak, FL; four sisters, Judy Nutt, Live Oak, FL, Nancy (Drew) Allen, Jacksonville, FL, Peggy (Marvin) Buchanan, Day, FL, Bonita Williams, Macclenny, FL; six grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Clayland Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Lawhon and Caleb Carmichael officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Masonic services were conducted at the graveside in the church cemetery.
