Edward Franklin Lane

Edward Franklin Lane, Sr., age 65, of Live Oak, FL passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He was a native of Madison, FL moving to Live Oak in 1976 from Lakeland, FL. Edward worked for the City of Live Oak and loved spending time with his family. He was an avid model car builder and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Esther Harrell Lane, Live Oak; three sons, Don (Ashley) Downing, Chiefland, FL; Ed Lane, Jr., Live Oak; Jesse (Marissa) Lane, Live Oak; Kyle (Reba) Lane, Live Oak; two daughters, Sherry (Tony) Crews, Chiefland, FL; Vanessa (Calvin) Smart, Live Oak; one sister, Jackie Anderson, Live Oak; ten grandchildren. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 22nd from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services were held 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Richie officiating.
