Eldon Sherwood Martin

Eldon Sherwood Martin April 15, 1932* July 10, 2010 Eldon Sherwood Martin, age 78, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Shands @ U.F. in Gainesville, FL following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Whitman, West Virginia moving to Live Oak in 1987 from Ohio. Eldon was a PFC in the U.S. Army stationed in Europe during the Korean Conflict and worked for many years for the Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Martin of Live Oak, FL; three daughters, Cynthia Davis, Selmer, TN; Elaine Madden, Alice, TX; Janice Buttil, Holiday, FL; one sister, Betty Clark, Falls Branch, TN; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation was held, Monday, July 12th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Gil Roser officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Missions Fund-Tabernacle Baptist Church, P.O. Box 95, Live Oak, FL 32064.
