Eldora Oxendine Barbre September 17, 1917 August 11, 2009 Eldora Oxendine Barbre, 91 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Surrey Place Care Center in Live Oak, FL. The Titusville, FL native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1940 from Titusville, FL. She owned and operated Modern Beauty Shop for fifteen years. Eldora enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, fishing and playing bingo. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and for many years baked cookies for vacation bible school. Survivors include two sons, Fred (Patty) Oxendine, Live Oak, FL; Mike (Elizabeth) Oxendine, Live Oak, FL, one daughter, Mary Lou (Felton) Roberson, Live Oak, FL; eight Grandchildren, thirteen Great Grandchildren and eight Great-Great Grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday, August 13th from 5 to 7 PM at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2009 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. David McKeithen, Rev. Hugh Dampier officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Chapel @ The Surrey Place, 110 SE Lee Ave., Live Oak, FL 32064.
