Esther Louise Lear

Esther Louise Lear, age 95, formally of Dowling Park, FL, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Palm Garden of Ocala Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Oaklyn, NJ moving to Dowling Park, FL in 1996 from Boynton Beach, FL. She spent her life spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a member of the Bethel Creek Baptist Church in Day, FL. In her spare time, she loved bowling and roller skating and was known as “The lady who roller skated around Dowling Park.” Esther was also an avid golfer. When her health began failing, she moved to Ocala to be closer to her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue Strother, Wilton, Conn; Linda Lear, Ocala, FL; Karla Sullivan, Coconut Creek, FL; one sister, Anna Delaney, Morristown, NJ and one grandson, Daniel Sullivan, Coconut Creek, FL.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Bethel Creek Baptist Church.
