Ethel “Granny” Davis

Ethel “Granny” Davis, 91of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday, December 8, 2008, at Hospice of the Comforter Hospice House in Altamonte Springs, FL following complications from a stroke. The West Van Lear, Kentucky native had resided in Live Oak, FL since 1972 before moving to Apopka, FL a year ago to live with her daughter. Granny along with her late husband, Elbert Davis were the co-owners of the Live Oak Barber Shop for many years. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert E. (Patricia) Davis, Cape Charles, VA; Paul Joseph (Sally) Davis, Satellite Beach, FL; two daughters, Launa Storke, Live Oak, FL; Ann (James) Snyder, Apopka, FL; a sister-in-law, Dorayne Colvin, East Point, KY; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 13th from 10 to 12 PM at Funeral Home prior to the services.
Funeral services were held, 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2008 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Book officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
