Ethel Mae Jenkins

Ethel Mae Jenkins, age 97, of Live Oak, FL, passed away, early Wednesday morning, February 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak where she raised her family, helping on the family farm and sharing the word of God. She was a member of the Live Oak Assembly of God where she loved going to church and worshiping the Lord.  She also loved gardening, fishing and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Lillie Simmons; her husband, Brownie Jenkins; two sons, Darryl Jenkins and Larry Jenkins and one daughter, Evelyn Jenkins.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean (Steve) Patton, Live Oak, FL; Loretta (James) Creamer, Live Oak, FL; two sons, Randal (Carol) Jenkins, Live Oak, FL and Ferrell Jenkins, Live Oak, FL; one sister, Ernestein Wynn, Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Live Oak Assembly of God with Rev. Michael Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosemary Baptist church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church.
