Evon Howard Owen

Evon Howard Owen, age 84, of Live Oak, FL passed away Saturday evening May 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.  She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL where she worked as a receptionist for many years alongside, Dr. James Dietrich, Dr. Hugo Sotolongo and Dr. Tommy Clayton.  She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church and was a loving and caring mother, sister and Nana.  Her most proud possessions were her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by parents, Elwood and Essie Howard; her husband, William L. “Bill” Owen, Sr. and her son-in-law, Brody “Chip” Harris, III.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Sid) Allen; Debbie Harris; one son, Bill (Kathryn) Owen, Jr.; two sisters, Clydie Jordon Cannon and Audrey Bonds; two brothers, Ray Howard and Bill Howard; sister-in-law, Bettie Frances McCall Morell; five grandchildren, Leslie Allen, Natalie (Bryan) Brown, Anna Owen Cone, Tyler (Amanda) Harris, Trey (Heather) Owen; three great grandchildren, Brody Brown, Raelynn Brown and Bryce Owen.

Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the First Advent Christian Church with Rev. Tim Carver officiating.  Private interment was held in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
