Freddie Lee Oxendine, age 80, of Live Oak, FL, passed away early Sunday morning, July 10, 2022 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. Fred was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL where he owned and operated the family farm. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army special forces having served during the Korean War, Vietnam War as an E-5 and the Florida National Guard. He was a member of the Davonia Baptist Church in Jasper, FL and the Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165. He loved wood working, being around people, working with cattle and gift giving. His most treasured moments were the times spent with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Patti Oxendine, Live Oak, FL; one son, Scott (Rebecca) Howard, Live Oak, FL; three daughters, Katie Clark, Live Oak, FL Brandi (Richard) Gardner, Tampa, FL and Ashley Williams, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Mike (Elizabeth) Oxendine, Live Oak, FL; five grandchildren. Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Antioch Baptist Church with Wilbur Wood and Rev. David McKeithen officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with full military rites at the graveside. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to11:00 AM at the church.
