Gene Dempsey Henderson

Gene Dempsey Henderson, age 90, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Solaris of Lake City following a lengthy illness. He was born in Jasper, FL living most of his life in Live Oak. He was a master welder and member of the First Advent Christian Church. He was veteran of the U.S. Airforce, Private First Class. Gene loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, he also enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Eunice Henderson, his wife, Evelyn “Sis” Henderson, step-son, Ronnie Ryals, brother, Lee Henderson and sister, Marie Andrews.
He is survived by one step-son, Danny (Ruby) Ryals, Live Oak; one brother, Archie (Pat) Henderson, Live Oak; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Henderson, Harrisburg, PA; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2020 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Pennington officiating.
