George Leslie “Les” LeBlanc, Jr. age 92 of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday evening, November 27, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was a native of Port Neches, TX moving to Live Oak in 1976 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Les was a veteran and youngest oil tanker Captain of the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a Harbor Pilot for Port Everglades, FL. Les was a member and Past Master of Barrett Lodge #43 F & AM and Day Lodge#166, Honorary Perpetual member of Madison Lodge #11 and Greenville Lodge #28, District Deputy Grand Master of the 9th Masonic District in 1991, a Perpetual member Zone 2 Grand Lodge F & AM of Florida 1996, Member of the York-Rite and Scottish-Rite Bodies; Morocco Temple of The Shrine, Jacksonville, FL; Marzuq Temple of the Shrine, Tallahassee, FL; Live Oak Roadsters, the Live Oak Shrine Club and Live Oak Elk’s Lodge #1165.
He was predeceased by his wife, Juanita, a son, Kim LeBlanc and a daughter, Dolly Chaumont.
He is survived by two sons, Les (Susan) LeBlanc, III, Warner Robbins, GA; Mark (Vicki) LeBlanc, Benton, WA; one daughter, Leah (Lee) Chapin, Tallahassee, FL; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday, December 6th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside services with Masonic Rites were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2013 in the Live Oak Cemetery.
