George Eugene Steele

George Eugene Steele, age 94, a resident of Dowling Park, FL., passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park. George was born July 31, 1926 in Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents George A. Steele and Viola Blain Steele and his brother Brice B. Steele.
George served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from General Motors in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the Aladdin Shrine and Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; Charlotte Steele, Dowling Park, Florida, two daughters, Anna (Jack) Weaver of Dowling Park, Florida, and Viola Cleland, Long Bottom, Ohio; stepson, Robert (Diane) Yelm, Illinois; sister, Dorothy Lanning, Grove City, Ohio; special friends, Frank & Donna Walker, Live Oak, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 3rd at 11:00 am at the Bixler Memorial Gardens, East in Dowling Park, Florida with Pastor Timothy Setzer officiating.
The family would like to thank Crystal Delcastillo and the staff and community of Dowling Park for all they done for George.
