Gertrude B. Richardson, 91 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. The St. Louis, Missouri native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1972 from Tampa, Fl. She was a long time member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She had been a bookkeeper for Dr. Harold Preston for many years and she loved gardening. Even though she considered it a hobby, she was a great seamstress who loved making dresses and formals.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Omer Richardson.
Survivors include three daughters; Linda (Buddy) Nott of Live Oak, Sally (Tom) Daly of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Beverly (Bob) Baucom of Clayton, North Carolina; one son, Tim (Danielle) Richardson of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; one sister, Vera Shay of St. Lucie, Florida. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, June 4th at 10:30 am St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with father Don Woodrum officiating. Finalization was by cremation and her ashes were placed in the columbarium at St. Luke’s.
