Guy Copeland

Guy Copeland April 22, 1934 * August 18, 2012 Guy Copeland age 78 of McAlpin, FL passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Avalon Healthcare Center in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Pavo, GA moving to Live Oak in 1975 from Orlando, FL. Guy was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Korea, North Africa and Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the North Florida Conservation and Airboat Alliance, the Orange County Sheriff’s Posse and a life time member of NRA. He was an Insurance agent and was a member and elder for many years at the Live Oak Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Copeland, McAlpin, FL; one son, Maurice “Nick” Copeland, McAlpin, FL; one stepson, Mike Windsor, White Springs, FL; three daughters, Patty Garrett, McAlpin, FL; Cheryl Cameron, Lake City, FL; Cindy Shelton, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Billy Copeland, Longwood, FL; one sister, Betty Brooks, Valdosta, GA; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Live Oak Christian Church with Pastor Ray Kelly officiating.
