G.W. Croft, Jr.

G.W. Croft, Jr., age 79, of Live Oak, FL passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home.  He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak owning his own farm and his passion was growing watermelons.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Seaman E-3, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165 and was voted farmer of the year in the 1970’s.  G.W. had a passion for local government and was Advent Christian by faith.  He loved cooking, especially chili.  His most treasured moments were the times he spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Croft, Live Oak, FL; four sons, Chad (Heather) Croft, Live Oak, FL; Taft (Katie) Croft, St. Augustine, FL; Gramby (Randi) Croft, Live Oak, FL and Jeff (Sue) Roberson, Perry, FL; one daughter, LaGina (John) Dow, Live Oak, FL; three sisters, Mary Pearl Rankin, Ann (Wayne) Gude, and Linda Walther, all of Live Oak, FL; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the graveside in the Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pine Grove Methodist Church kitchen fund, 5300 CR 136-A, Live Oak, FL 32060.
