Harold “Tom” Wheeler, age 75, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at his home. He was a native of McConnell, WV moving to Live Oak in 1974 from Indianapolis, IN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam as an E-4. Tom worked as a truck driver and was a member of the American Legion. He loved bowling, fishing, camping and working on cars. His most enjoyable moments were spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by a son, Michael Foster.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wheeler, Live Oak; two sons, Tony (Treea) Foster, McAlpin, FL; Chuck Wheeler, Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Tanya Wheeler, Shelbyville, IN; a daughter-in-law, Cinda Foster, Dowling Park, FL; three sisters, Audrey Logue, Greenwood, IN; Emma Phillips and Virginia (Ron) Kline both of Live Oak; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Hazel officiating.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery with full military rites at the graveside.
