Harvey Lee Wagoner, 84 of Mayo, Florida passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. The Mount Airy, NC native moved to North Florida in 2003 from Sebring, FL. He was past president of Florida Food Brokers Association. Harvey was known for being a childhood friend and singing in the Haymore Memorial Baptist Church choir with the famous, Andy Griffith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and was a member of the Mayo Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Wagoner, Lakeland, Fl; Teri (Stan) Christian, Mayo, FL; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held, Tuesday, May 6th from 5 to 7 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 932 N. Ohio Ave.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Morris Funeral Chapel in Sebring, FL with Rev. Jimmy Legg officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid, FL
