Henry “Burton” Lear

Henry Burton Lear age 91, formally of Dowling Park passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Hospice of Marion County Legacy House in Ocala, FL following a lengthy illness. The Pleasantville, NJ native moved to Ocala, FL in 2008 from Dowling Park, FL. Burton proudly served his country as Corporal in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for many years as General Manager for Wallace Ford in Delray Beach, FL before moving to Dowling Park in 1996. He was a member of the Christian Business Men’s Association in Delray Beach, FL, was a skeet shooter, gun enthusiast and loved horses, especially his horse named “George”. He was a member of the Bethel Creek Baptist Church in Day, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Louise Lear, Ocala, FL; three daughters, Sue Strother, Wilton, Conn.; Linda Lear, Ocala, FL; Karla Sullivan, Coconut Creek, FL; one grandson, Daniel Sullivan, Coconut Creek, FL.
As per his wishes, finalization was by cremation.
