Heywood Nelson Bonds

Heywood Nelson Bonds, age 76, of Live Oak, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his home in Live Oak following a lengthy illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak working for the Department of Transportation as a Maintenance Supervisor. Heywood was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Vida Bonds. He is survived by his wife, Eunice Bonds, Live Oak; one son, Nelson Bonds, Branford, FL; two daughters, Vivian Smith, Live Oak and Carol Cusick, Branford; three brothers, Owen Bonds, Alton Bonds, Kenneth Bonds all of Live Oak; three sisters, Naomi Hurst, Live Oak; Sandra Keen, Lake City and Geraldine Thomas, O’Brien; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorial services were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. David Teems and Rev. David Hingson officiating.
