Hilda Barrington Brannon June 7, 1916 * May 9, 2011 Hilda Barrington Brannon, age 94, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday afternoon, May 9, 2011 at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness. The Mayo, FL native had lived the past 92 years in the Live Oak FL area. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard which was so beautiful it looked like something out of a Southern Living magazine. She also loved to cook and always had plenty for anyone who stopped by. One of her specialties was chicken and rice. Hilda was a member of the Luraville Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Julian and son Donald Brannon and a grandson, Jay Underwood. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Underwood, Jacksonville, FL; one grandson, Barry (Jodie) Underwood; three great-grandchildren, Luke Underwood, Wesley Underwood and Kate Underwood. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 9:00 to 10:00 AM with the services at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Luraville Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating.
