Inez Bland

Inez Bland, age 88, of Live Oak, FL, passed away January 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Jacksonville, FL and life-long resident of Live Oak.  Inez worked as a Registered Nurse for the Suwannee County Hospital and after her retirement, continued volunteering as a Pink Lady for many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a soloist for the Andrew Men’s Bible Class for fifty years which was broadcasted over WNER radio station every Sunday morning.  She sang for many organizations, church services, funerals, weddings, ect.  Inez taught private voice lessons for several years and she enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul D. Langford, Sr., husband, Dallas Bland, daughter, Marchetia Bland Smith, two brothers, Robert Wayne Langford and Paul D. Langford, Jr., brother, B.W. Johnson, II.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Poole, Live Oak; Shan’na Smith, brother, George Sidney Langford, Live Oak; one sister, Bonnie Sue Cox, Orange Park, FL; four grandchildren, Jerald Wayne Smith, Jr., Andrea Richardson, Christerfer Michael Smith, Morgan Coley Brooks; twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 12, 2021 in the Wellborn Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip and Rev. Mike Taber officiating.  Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the services, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.
