Jaleigh Marie Middleton

JaLeigh Marie Middleton, age 17, of Live Oak, FL, passed away, Saturday, July 13, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Clanton, Alabama.  She was born in Gainesville, FL, living in Live Oak, FL most of her life until recently moving to Verbena, AL.  She attended Thorsby High School in Alabama where she was going to be in her senior year this fall with the class of 2025.  JaLeigh was so loved by everyone who knew her, no matter where she was she could light up the darkest room with her affectionate smile and laugh.  She loved the Lord and didn’t mind telling people about him.  She will be missed is an understatement to say the least.

She was predeceased by her Maternal Great-Great Grandmother, “Granny” Dorothy Marie Hurley.

She is survived by her loving mother and bonus dad, Jena Leigh Jenkins and Johnny Mims; father, Arthur Middleton; three brothers, Braxden Middleton, Brenton Middleton and Shane Middleton; three stepbrothers, John Thomas Mims, Brody Mims and Jace Mims; two stepsisters, Kenzi Mims and Kayden Mims. Maternal Grandparents, Randall and Carol Jenkins; Paternal Grandfather, Daniel Middleton; Maternal Great Grandmother, Ethel Mae Jenkins.

Funeral services were held, 11:33 AM, Friday, July 19, 2024, in the Christ Central Church, 217 SW Dyal Avenue, Lake City, FL 32024 with Rev. Lonnie Johns officiating.  Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10:33 until 11:33 AM at the church in Lake City.
