James Alan Chitwood, age 67, of Live Oak, FL, passed away, Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born in Wewoka, OK, living his life in Live Oak. He worked as a correctional officer for the State of Florida and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. James loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, riding his Harley Davidson and FSU Seminoles.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Chitwood, one son, James (Megan) Chitwood, II; one daughter, Sebrina (Alan) May; three brothers, Joey Chitwood, Alan Pellicer and Michael Pellicer; two sisters, Elisa Chitwood and Stephanie Johns; eight grandchildren.
As per his wishes, finalization will be by cremation.
