James W. Collins

James Woodrow Collins, age 81, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Tampa, FL on October 7, 1942 to the late David and Pearl Collins.  He and his wife moved to Live Oak in 2004 from Polk County, FL.  He worked as an Engineer in the mining field for many years and was a member of the Rosemary Baptist Church.  James enjoyed Bible study and memorizing the Bible.  In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Collins, Live Oak, FL; one son, Scott (Sheri) Collins, Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Kelly (Randy) Grimes, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Glenn (Linda) Collins, Pitts Ford, NY; one sister, Mary Frances Geddes, Mt. Dora, FL; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
