James Everett Mayfield

James Everett Mayfield, age 72, of Branford, FL passed away early Thursday morning, July 24, 2014 at his home. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee moving to Branford in 2002 from Massachusetts. Everett worked in construction as a pipe fitter and was a construction superintendent. He loved to fish and travel and was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Beachville, FL. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Fern Mayfield and a grandson, Jed Kent. He is survived by his wife, Gaynell Mayfield, Branford, FL; one son, James Samuel Kent, II, Branford, FL; one brother, W. Harold Mayfield, Jackson, TN. Visitation was held Sunday evening from 4 to 6 PM at the Beachville Advent Christian Church. Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Monday, July 28, 2014 in the Beachville Advent Christian Church with Pastor Bruce Arnold officiating. Internment followed in the Maypop Cemetery.
