James Paul Smith, age 67, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the North Florida Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Cheverly, MD moving to Live Oak in 2004 from Maryland. He worked as a painter and loved shooting pool, playing horseshoes and knife throwing.
He is survived by his son, James "Jimmy" Smith, III; one brother, Johnny Smith and one sister, Barbara (Robert) Yates.
As per his wishes, finalization will be by cremation.
