Jeannette Crosby

Jeannette Nancy Crosby, age 89, of Live Oak, FL passed away Wednesday morning, August 2, 2023 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.  She was born in Douglas, GA moving to Live Oak, FL in 1980 from Tampa, FL.  She was a homemaker and loved cooking, baking, watching TV and working in her yard.  Her most treasured moments were spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Osborne K. Crosby, Sr., a son, Osborne K. Crosby, Jr.; parents, James and Georgialee Wiggins; step-mother, Ruby Wiggins; four brothers, John Leonard Wiggins, James Cleo Wiggins, Jr., Aubrey Julius Wiggins and Billy Wiggins; one granddaughter, Samantha Ann Crosby.

She is survived by five sons, Robert (Teresa) Whitfield, Interlachen, FL; James Crosby, Lake Park, GA; Randall (Tina) Crosby, Live Oak, FL; Kenneth (Cynthia) Crosby, Live Oak, FL; Allen Kingcom, Tampa, FL; two daughters, Jeannette Hale and Carol Landen both of Live Oak, FL; one brother, Milton (Shirley) Wiggins, Jasper, FL; one sister, Ruth (Howard) Cone, Lake Hamilton, FL; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held Monday, August 7, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Freestone officiating. Interment followed in the church Cemetery.
