Jimmy Tucker, age 80 of Live Oak, FL passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following a lengthy illness. He was a native and life long resident of Suwannee County. Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Tarawa and U.S.S. Coral Sea. He had nine years of safe driving and he received 2, One Million Mile safe driving awards during his truck driving years. In his spare time he loved to farm. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Tucker, Live Oak; two sons, Mike Tucker, Live Oak and Steve Tucker, Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Cathy Coward, Auburn, AL; Becky Bonds, Branford, FL; Pam Platt, Luraville, FL; two step daughters, Chrissy Howard, Mayo, FL; Kathy Zedalis, Gainesville, FL; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four step grandchildren.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2013 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Larry Simmons officiating.
