Joan Ulices Maya Mendoza, age 15, of Live Oak, FL passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Suwannee Campus ER following a sudden illness. He was born February 11, 2007 in Las Vegas, NV moving to Live Oak with his family in 2008. Joan attended Suwannee High School and would have been a junior this year. He worked as a cashier at Dairy Queen and was a very hard worker and a pleasure to work with.
He is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Blanca Maya Mendoza; one brother, Brayan Maya Mendoza; two sisters, Belen Maya Mendoza and Yali Camila Angoiano Mendoza all of Live Oak, FL.
Visitation was held, Friday, July 8th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home
Funeral services were held 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Anthony Basso officiating. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
